It was 15th of September 2015 – the same ordinary day at school and I was early as usual. As I entered the DPUIC office, I smiled and greeted the supporting staffs with ‘good morning’. One of DPUIC’s supporting staffs approached me and showed a paper to me. She informed me and my other friend about PTT Seeding the Future ASEAN Camp 2015 that was held from September 28, 2015 to October 3, 2015.
I didn’t have a chance to make the video until the deadline day as I was busy with school work. In fact, the submission date was on September 18, 2015 and it was the only day I could work on my video.
As I got home from my school, I immediately worked on the video and finished at around 7 o’clock in the evening. I was about to send my video to our supporting staff but unfortunately the file was too large. I tried sending it through her Facebook a couple of times but it was still ineffective. I was starting to give up at that time and had second thoughts that maybe this was not for me. But on the other hand, my mother who was beside me told me to not give up yet and that there’s still time.
And yes, my mother was right. Everything worked out fine. I got to send the video and was even one of the selected delegates from our university.
There were so many activities, I don’t know which one to go first. On the first day, we ate dinner together with the other participants at Sukishi MBK and after that we had an activity called “ice breaking” where we got to know everyone from other countries like Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar and Philippines.
On the second day, we headed to PTT’s headquarters in Bangkok. There, we were welcomed and received welcome garlands from the vice president in International Marketing of PTT Company. We left the headquarters and headed to PTT Crystal Park.
We traveled to a lot of places on the third day like VISTEC (Vidyasirimedhi Institute), PTT Rayong Gas Separation Plant, HRH Princess Sirindhorn Herbal Garden and lastly, PTT Rayong FC Football stadium.
Thursday – the fourth day is what we called beach day! We went to Samaesan Island in Chonburi province. There, we had recreation activities such as snorkeling and coral viewing.
We visited CACA (Café Amazon Coaching Academy) for a barista workshop. We learned how to make coffee, how it really tastes without sugar or milk. We headed back to PTT headquarters in Bangkok to watch our video concerning the camp activities and were given a certificate from the PTT exclusive members.
I would like to thank PTT for making me one of their seeds. The experience, friends and everything I got from the camp was unforgettable and very memorable – no hard work or opportunity wasted. We are one big family.
